I was raised in the South, so cornbread and whiskey run in my blood.
I started my career as a copywriter in an agency, and quickly learned that I was a systems thinker. I moved into content strategy (taking all those little pieces of copy and making them into a bigger, cohesive system) and then naturally side-stepped into UX (what do real people need, and are we providing it for them?).
I have started three UX teams, a Strategy team, and have scaled or grown every team I've been on. My favorite projects are still the big, messy, old software systems that internal users hate and customers can feel through the phone lines.
This wild, incredible Planet is what nourishes my soul - I am always thinking about digging in my garden, cities to visit next, beekeeping, weekend adventures, my reading list.
I'm currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah, but that won't stop me from taking on exciting projects elsewhere.
