I was raised in the South, so cornbread and whiskey run in my blood.

I started my career as a copywriter in an agency, and quickly learned that I was a systems thinker. I moved into content strategy (taking all those little pieces of copy and making them into a bigger, cohesive system) and then naturally side-stepped into UX (what do real people need, and are we providing it for them?).
I have started three UX teams, a Strategy team, and have scaled or grown every team I've been on. My favorite projects are still the big, messy tangles that everyone internally is over and exhausted by.
This wild, incredible Planet nourishes my soul. I am always thinking about digging in my garden, places to visit next, beekeeping, weekend adventures with my person and our dog Karma, and my reading list.
I'm physically based in Roanoke, Virginia, but I value in-person connections and would love to talk about how we could collaborate.
